Welcome
to
Dutch Creek Guest Ranch

Dutch Creek Guest Ranch has been in various stages of development since the mid 1980's.  It is currently owned and operated by the Hawes family.  We have 9 completely furnished cabins, the main lodge and a full horse facility on 100 acres bordering Routt National Forest.  The lodge serves as the welcome center , serving breakfast and dinner daily.  The adjoining room offers books, games, magazines and the only TV on the Ranch.

Our log cabins have two bedrooms, two bathrooms a full kitchen, river rock fireplaces and porch swings.  The A-frame cottages have one bedroom plus a loft, kitchenettes and wood stoves.

The Ranch is open all year except for a bit of down time mid-April.  Rates will vary according to seasons. Summer season is the most popular time to enjoy Dutch Creek Guest Ranch.  The weather is warm and activities are abundant.  They include horseback riding, hay wagon rides, hiking, boating on Steamboat Lake, mountain biking, fishing, horseshoes, volleyball, or just plain relaxing.

The fall season offers a brilliant color change around mid-September, as well as big-game hunting seasons for elk and deer.   We hope to be offering fully guided hunts from the Ranch in the fall of 1999.

Winter brings lots of snow, providing cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling from the front door of your cabin.  Relaxing fireside and watching the snow fall is available for the less ambitious.  The town of Steamboat Springs is easily accessible in the Winter, for downhill skiing , just 27 miles away.

As the Winter snows begin to melt and days get longer and warmer, things slow down in the Spring.  You can still cross country ski or snowshoe the surrounding area, but bring your fishing poles to take advantage of the thawing lakes and streams.
