The primary ranch winter activity is dinner sleigh rides. The sleigh has a 16 person capacity and is pulled by a pair of draft
horses. The event starts with hot cider and hot cocoa at the lodge. The ride follows and it takes approximately 35 minutes
to run the sleigh course which is located entirely on the Dutch Creek property. Following the sleigh ride, a standard three
course dinner and is provided in the main lodge.

Other winter ranch activities include:
- Snowshoeing.
- Sledding.
- Cross country skiing.
- Equipment can
be rented from local companies.
- There is a ski course on the ranch.
- The ranch is connected to an extensive public ski course network.
The ranch is conveniently on an excellent winter trail system. The Steamboat Lake Snow club maintains a 146 mile system with
cross coutry exclusive and combined us trails. Maps for the system can be purchased at the ranch lodge or at the Steamboat Lake State Park Visitors Center.
Steamboat Lake is
the local ice fishing spot.
Steamboat Springs provides for many wintertime activities. There are:
- World-class destination
resort skiing at Mt. Werner in Steamboat Springs.
- More modest (less spendy) alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, and inner-tube sledding

of Commerce sponsored activities. This includes the annual winter carnival, the famous cowboy downhill ski race, and snowshoeing
